Phoenix Mountain is a volcanic mountain that appears in Kid Icarus: Uprising. It is the home of the Phoenix, the guardian of the Wish Seed, which can also be found atop the mountain. Being a volcano, Phoenix Mountain resides in a scorching hot region composed of a sea of lava, magma-filled caverns, active volcanoes, a gorge made of flowing molten walls, crystallized formations, and the ruins of an ancient civilization. A large variety of volcanic monsters tend to thrive in the region's extreme conditions, including Fire Wyrms, Magmoos, and Petribombers. Pit visits the volcanic mountain in order to retrieve the Wish Seed before the Underworld Army does in Chapter 10.
Idol Description
This mountain in the volcanic region is home to the legendary Phoenix. Human life can't survive in this area's blistering heat. In fact, only thanks to Palutena's power of cooling can Pit survive the harsh climate here.
Trivia
- The Idol Description claims human life can't survive in this location, but there is evidence of a civilization that once existed here as shown by the buildings and statues during the Land Battle of Chapter 10. This perhaps indicates that Phoenix Mountain wasn't always inhabitable.
