No problem. Keep up the good work. Hopefully when Uprising comes out, we can get over 200 articles! By the way... where did you get those artworks of the enemies? --Starphoria 16:56, 18 January 2012 (MST)
Don't add the info yet, I'll create a "Spoiler" Template for Spoiler Warnings. --Starphoria 13:36, 24 January 2012 (MST)

I'm so sorry

I honestly wasn't aware about the flickr thing (I've never used that site before). I assumed you wanted me to help upload pictures from there because you sent me that link. And is there a way to take them off completely from here? I apologize deeply for screwing up big time. -RicketyTrigger 19:54, 26 January 2012 (MST)-

Dark Pit theory time?

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/997768-kid-icarus-uprising/61793521

A very interesting paragraph written by a gentleman on Gamefaqs. It's funny though, cause I kind of thought of the same thing about Dark Pit really being Pit's long lost twin brother, but this person did a lot better with the extra details. However, I wonder if this person ever noticed the large mirror in the trailer that introduced Dark Pit, and in the other trailer from TGS had glass shattering when Dark Pit pushed/kicked Pit away. I personally think that mirror is important regarding Dark Pit's origins. So unfortunately the whole "Dark Pit is really Pit's brother" theory may be refuted, and Dark Pit may be just some evil clone created by some evil mirror. Hopefully this isn't the case because the theory mentioned in Gamefaqs is a lot more interesting. So what do you think about this? -RicketyTrigger 16:58, 29 January 2012 (MST)-

Wait, you mean... *shakes head* Anyways, yay the Eggplant Wizard artwork is out. He looks a lot more menacing than last time. Is it me or does he sort of look like a skinnier, cycloptic, and purple King Dedede? (O_o). Btw, somebody got the trailer back from TGS fully subbed and apparently Dark Pit wants revenge from Pit (by taking away his wings), cause good Pit took something from him (but obviously what exactly it is, no one knows). You got the whole Dark Pit wants revenge from his twin (possible) brother right. I'd love to see the rest your theory become a fact. -RicketyTrigger 01:17, 1 February 2012 (MST)-
Ohhh, I see it now. I don't know, I personally think it was Dark Pit that said that particular line, but then again, I'm not the best at differentiating voices at times. And yes, Zeus NEEDS to come back. There are no reasons for him to not return. If he does, I wonder if he'll play a similar role as in the previous games. I also can't wait to see more new gods. One thing that irks me though, it feels like there are not enough angels in this game, and I mean the angels with wings on their back like Pit does (so not like the Centurions). There's Dark Pit, but he's just an evil clone of the main guy, and I'm not sure what exactly the Fighters are supposed to be (they don't have wings but they seem angelic). So yeah, Angel Land is lacking angels, and that's a problem. -RicketyTrigger 17:56, 1 February 2012 (MST)-
Well, I suppose you're right. Still, kinda weird in a place called Angel Land there are barely any angels. -RicketyTrigger 12:30, 4 February 2012 (MST)-

I certainly think (and would like the fact) that Dark Pit will join Pit's side near/at the end. It would awesome, and play a different turn on the "evil clone" stereotype. -WingedFish

Now that it's been shown in the latest trailer, Dark Pit apparently thinks he's the original one. Maybe they really are twins--perhaps Dark Pit is just mad at Pit for taking his appearance/identity? -Yeah121

ive beaten the game and the mirror is called the mirror of truth. when someone stands in front of it it makes a copy of that person but the opposite way. because pit broke the mirror before it could finsih copying dark pit is not part of the underworld and just hates pit for copying his looks.-patrizl001

Thank You

Thanks for all the work recently :) I've been not doing much (heh). Just to give you an update, we'll be working on most of the help pages this weekend along with getting the infoboxes (like on the Kid Icarus: Uprising page) up for the Character, Locations, items, etc. We plan to get that all done this weekend. After that, we're home free for NIWA Status. Another update: We'll be getting a skin similar to Fire Emblem Wiki except Kid Icarus-ified. If you have any suggestions for what to use for the background and such, I'd love to hear it. --Starphoria 19:54, 10 February 2012 (MST)

Also, do you know where to get a list of voice actors for Uprising? And where to get the japanese names? --Starphoria 15:04, 11 February 2012 (MST)
(nods) Would you like to run for Editor in Chief? See the notice at the top of the pages for the link. --Starphoria 18:15, 11 February 2012 (MST)
Alrighty then. When and if you think you're ready please make me aware :) --Starphoria 19:23, 11 February 2012 (MST)

Co-op Mode?

http://www.nintendo.co.uk/NOE/en_GB/games/ms/kidicarusuprising/index.html

The UK site mentions Co-op on their site. I wonder how that could work in this game. Any ideas? -RicketyTrigger 21:01, 11 February 2012 (MST)-

I think it might just refer to team play during multiplayer. What would be really cool is if there is an Arena Mode in which you can team up with players to fight waves of enemies. How awesome would that be?! --DoctorFantastic 21:58, 11 February 2012 (MST)
That would be pretty awesome. I wonder if we can have up to six players for that too... nah, just two would be sufficient. -RicketyTrigger 22:24, 11 February 2012 (MST)-
You can do it. Also, I think we should make a different category for "Villains" and a navbox to go along with it, because there is kind of a difference between Villains and Enemies... --Starphoria 07:34, 12 February 2012 (MST)

Question

I noticed you found interesting amount of info and pictures I haven't even seen, and I'm curious how you're finding all this if you don't mind. Oh, and I found some scans of the Kid Icarus Uprising manga if you're interested: http://huwamugi.3rin.net/Entry/138/ (but they're kinda cropped unfortunately). -RicketyTrigger 20:46, 5 March 2012 (MST)-

I knew about these Twitter accounts before, but I don't see Pandora... Unless I'm looking at the wrong thing (and I probably am). -RicketyTrigger 21:53, 5 March 2012 (MST)-
Ohhh, thanks for the link. I really want to collect these cards now. -RicketyTrigger 22:16, 5 March 2012 (MST)-

Mirror of Truth

http://www.gonintendo.com/content/uploads/images/2012_3/KI%20Promo%20Pack.jpg

You've probably already seen these, but the Mirror of Truth has caught my interest, and I'm pretty sure it's the thing shown in the background of this screenshot: http://www.flickr.com/photos/abriael/6766859325/in/set-72157629043030453. I always had a feeling that mirror wasn't just there for decoration, but what do you think it is? Is this where Dark Pit was created? If so, that would be pretty disappointing cause your theory was a lot more interesting. I know information is limited, but I can't help but speculate even though the release date is so close. Also, the artwork of Pit wearing the sacred treasures looks pretty awesome, can't wait to see the full picture of it. -RicketyTrigger 19:49, 7 March 2012 (MST)-

I hope so, he definitely sounds benevolent and godly. The newest trailer was amazing, can't believe we're gonna play it in two weeks. I also heard another guy's voice when it said "Let's get down to business!" during the short multiplayer scene. I wonder who that was... maybe the Fighters do talk after all?! Nah, I doubt it. A bit off-topic, what should we do with the Tanatos and Thanatos article? Just merge them? -RicketyTrigger 16:21, 8 March 2012 (MST)-
But Dark Pit and Pandora were clearly in the same room. Unless the level Pandora is in, is actually not part of Chapter 6 when Dark Pit first appears. Or maybe all of Dark Pit's battles are just mini boss like... -RicketyTrigger 16:47, 8 March 2012 (MST)-
I guess that makes a bit more sense. Gaol as Magnus' evil sister huh... I can see it happening. Also, I'm wondering if we should make separate articles for each anime short or put them all on one page. I guess we might also need templates for them as well. -RicketyTrigger 17:03, 8 March 2012 (MST)-

So, were you surprised?

Now that some of the VA's were officially announced, what do you think? I personally did not believe Pit and Palutena were voiced by JYB and Tara Strong. I wonder if Nintendo purposely chose this Antony Del Rio guy simply because he voiced young Kratos. I'm still happy that Nintendo chose some pretty decent VA's for this game, and hopefully they do this more with other franchises in the future. -RicketyTrigger 19:31, 8 March 2012 (MST)-

Yes, I absolutely love the music in this game, and it angers me that we still don't know who the composer is. Pit, Palutena and Thanatos all sound great even if they weren't the VA's everyone else was hoping for. Now I want to know the VA's for everyone else. I also hope the anime short is based off a chapter in this game, can't wait to see the rest of the segments for all of them! -RicketyTrigger 19:46, 8 March 2012 (MST)-

I absolutely agree

I can't wait until the game releases so I can hear the rest of the music. I wonder what are the chances of Nintendo releasing the official soundtrack on Club Nintendo. You'll have no idea how happy that'll make me if they do. I think the music in this game could surpass Super Mario Galaxy and Skyward Sword's orchestrated soundtrack (at least I'm pretty darn sure Uprising's music is orchestrated). Also, I apologize for the lack of updating especially near Uprising's release. My vacation overseas just happened to be around the same time. I'll get right back to work after I return shortly after the game is out. I appreciate your continuous hard work on this wiki. -RicketyTrigger 03:22, 13 March 2012 (MDT)-

Getting Much More Excited!

From the looks of it, you've just seen the "Information Overload" that the JP website has given us. From showing more weapons to adding the 2 vehicles, even giving us 2 new songs and more, I'm just amazed and happy about all of this. What do you think about the new music? I personally enjoyed them. Speaking of new info, I've always wondered how you keep finding new stuff so fast. I've recently been watching the "neogaf" thread, and recently the 3dsforums one. I'm just all the more curious, but I guess it's just a mystery to me. I hope I'm doing this right. *shivers* AdmiralPit 20:15, 14 March 2012 (MDT)

Surprisingly I've just been searching "Kid Icarus Uprising" within 24 hours, and occasionally check within an hour recently. Usually I just see the same thing being posted, which kinda discourages me. Yes, that music's amazing, and I really could use more epic stuff for my Mp3 player as well. Ugh, just 9 more days of torture. And I did hear about the story being 12 hours long on its own excluding the difficulty. It's gonna be amazing considering that we're gonna be spending tons of time getting through higher difficulties, going through Intensity gates, and getting plenty of weapons and powers. I'm so anxious to see all the weapons and powers! I'm also curious how you knew the names of some of em so fast, including those recently shown in the JP weapon section. Though now that I think of it... Twinbellows Cannon, Dark Lord Gaol Blade, Hewdraw Club, Great Reaper Palm... It's a possibility that we may get 1 weapon that resembles a boss per weapon class. AdmiralPit 21:08, 14 March 2012 (MDT)
Makes sense. Space Kraken (or what I believe it's called a Galactic Fiend Kraken) probably is an Arm, or 2 tentacles to make a bow that shoots ink or something. And let's not forget Pandora and Thanatos. I think I like Thanatos more after seeing that anime, especially the ending of the 3rd part. The wait's killing me! AdmiralPit 00:06, 15 March 2012 (MDT)
I just saw it, and I crave for even more gameplay! Well played neogaf for showing it, and Sakurai for making it happen. Just knowing about this makes me wonder of the other weapon capabilities. Who knows? Maybe that Palutena tweet about that ghost enemy was just the beginning of this. I must have more of this! If you find more goodies, do let me know! :3 AdmiralPit 12:19, 18 March 2012 (MDT)
Oh, I read some of that special plot twist. At least I know where to lurk for more stuff. Now, if only I was able to get more of that game music and see even more gameplay. I just can't wait these last 5 days! D: AdmiralPit 12:43, 18 March 2012 (MDT)
Yes to the first part, and I just saw both of those. I chose to subscribe to him and luck on the neogaf now. Pit in that 2nd vid just sold me out even more, and it's official: Pit and Palutena are now my 2 favorite Nintendo characters of all time! AdmiralPit 13:18, 18 March 2012 (MDT)
All these factions... jeez! It's getting to be truly intense now to the point where waiting the last few days is just nearly impossible. AdmiralPit 16:57, 18 March 2012 (MDT)

Composers Finally Revealed

Here they are: Motoi Sakuraba, Yuzo Koshiro, Masafami Takada, Noriyuki Iwadare, and Yasunori Mitsuda.

And guess what the Japanese Club Nintendo members get: http://club.nintendo.jp/present/itempop_p138.html. There will be lots of blood if this does not release in NA! -RicketyTrigger 03:52, 15 March 2012 (MDT)-

That sounds quite snazzy, and I hope it does indeed get released over here as well. Meanwhile, I'm quite shocked at how many enemies there are in this game! I can barely keep up with adding all of them here, and there are still quite a few unknown ones left, as well as classic monsters that have yet to be revealed. There's a flying castle controlled by a GIANT PIG called a Fort Oink! These enemies are so crazy (in a fantastic way), and I can't wait to see the rest. --DoctorFantastic 19:41, 17 March 2012 (MDT)

Stubs

Hey, I would honestly remove articles tagged as stubs that are Uprising-related. (Unless the article in question had something to do with Of Myths and Monsters or the original), we should probably wait until the game comes out, expand on all the articles, and then mark articles as stubs. Regards. --Starphoria (C·E) 13:57, 19 March 2012 (MDT)

Re:

I'd prefer we either:

A. Wait and see if there are official icons

B. If not, then we add them.

Don't want to make you do extra work :P You can finish up the stubs I was working on, because I gotta go. See ya. :) --Starphoria (C·E) 14:20, 20 March 2012 (MDT)

Finally Back

Oh man, I missed a lot of things haven't I? I heard someone uploaded a video containing spoilers of the game but got taken down. Unfortunately I couldn't see any of them because I had no access to Internet at the hotel in Indonesia (Internet costs 20 dollars US for 30 minutes there!). I read some of the major spoilers put on here, and I kinda regret it, but oh well. I'm still tired though, so I'll get back very soon, and thanks for frequently updating the wiki while I was away. -RicketyTrigger 22:10, 20 March 2012 (MDT)-

Well, I went to this small island called Bali which is one of the many of Indonesia's islands, but I don't think there are any Komodo dragons there. There are tons of lizards though, I caught one inside the hotel, and a praying mantis. I really enjoyed snorkeling, the coral reef and fish are absolutely stunning. It's alright, this isn't the first time I spoiled myself an unreleased game. I did it with Skyward Sword too heh. Yeah, I would have really loved to see those videos. The plot twist was rather unexpected (and you were kinda close with the whole Orcos being the actual boss or something like that) but however, I'm kinda upset that Sakurai decided to downgrade Medusa into a mere distraction than an actual proper villain. She had potential to be awesome like Ganon, but I guess I can't always have it my way huh? This Viridi chick sounds even more sadistic than Medusa though, and from what I've heard she apparently looks really young too! Ah, only the Japanese can make young girls so evil. And the Star Wars inspired chapter sounds really cool, can't wait to play that level. Hopefully Hades doesn't disappoint me as the true final boss. I have a theory it was Hades who was responsible for making Pit a flightless angel and causing almost everything else in his life possibly as a way to test him as a worthy opponent or something. I'm still curious on how big of a role Dark Pit will play though, cause it'll be disappointing if he just appears in Chapter 5 then dies in the next. Only a few days until release and there's still so many things I need to know! -RicketyTrigger 23:13, 20 March 2012 (MDT)-
Well that's kinda the thing though, if Medusa's role isn't as important as we thought it would be, wouldn't her chances to be playable in SSB4 kinda be lowered? Unless, Medusa doesn't die at Chapter 9 and comes back later with a change of heart and helps Pit defeat Hades. Speaking of which, what do you think of my theory about Hades and how he could relate to Pit's past? It would explain why Pit can't fly on his own. And it's good to hear Hades is a cool, Disney-esque villain, cause I loved the classic Disney movies as well. I'm glad to also hear Dark Pit's role isn't so minor, finally we may have a truly interesting Nintendo doppelgänger (Dark Samus and Blood Falcon were pretty awesome I guess). Yeah, Dark Pit is kinda lame, but since he thinks he's alive, perhaps he would like to give himself a proper name instead? A-la Johnny 5 from Short Circuit? This game also has some cool groovy music, I must download every song into my iPod for sure! -RicketyTrigger 00:13, 21 March 2012 (MDT)-
Still, there has to be some kind of explanation why Pit can't fly. If he was simply born that way then I think Nintendo would have just revealed it by now. Yes I also agree Medusa's design is very cool. Actually no, I haven't heard new info about Gaol yet. Care to tell me? -RicketyTrigger 00:38, 21 March 2012 (MDT)-
If the anime shorts have some canon-ness (does this make any sense?) to the actual game, it's possibly Pit does grow physically very slowly. Cause the Medusa Revenge anime clearly shows a younger and smaller Pit. Maybe I'm looking too much into the official bio for Pit on the official site, and the whole "touchy subject" business means nothing. And wow, didn't expect Magnus' and Gaol's backstory to be so deep. So was I right about Gaol being Magnus' wife? And that little girl with pigtails certainly looks like it could be their child. Magnus has nearly black hair while it appears Gaol has light brown hair, and the little girl has hair color similar to Pit's (but I don't think this is how genetics work lol). Glad I was proved wrong that Magnus wasn't some lame filler character. -RicketyTrigger 01:07, 21 March 2012 (MDT)-

Above Message

Did you see my above message? (I explained why we aren't using the logos at the time). --Starphoria (C·E) 14:05, 21 March 2012 (MDT)

Yeah... probably not :/ I'll have to discuss it with the others. When the game comes out, I am considering making an infobox for the chapters... would that probably be necessary? --Starphoria (C·E) 16:15, 21 March 2012 (MDT)

Re:

Technically yes, but it'd be a bit messy. We could create individual Nav templates for Enemies in each game if you think it'd be more organized, then it would work. And yes, I am enjoying the game :P --Starphoria (C·E) 09:55, 25 March 2012 (MDT)

Screenshots

If and when you can, can you try and add screenshots to all the chapters and enemy pages for Uprising? Also, go ahead and use your images for the chapters. I'm going to create a Chapter InfoBox for you to fill out if you want as well. I'll be gone on vacation, so try and get the screenshots done... --Starphoria (C·E) 15:44, 4 April 2012 (MDT)

question about formatting

how do I make it so that if I'm not finished with a page but I must stop working on that page, how do I format that?

Infoboxes

I'm going to make a chapter and weapons infobox later today, you can fill it out. --Starphoria (C·E) 14:13, 8 April 2012 (MDT)

Another Staff

When I was looking through the weapons, I noticed one in particular that you have forgotten. It is called the Dark Pit Staff. I just thought you may wish to update this. Thank you. Soriku13

New Infoboxes

The ChapterBox and WeaponBox have been created. Can you please fill them out and add the info to relevant articles? (I've only beaten up to Chapter 3, so I don't have the ability to do any of this. --Starphoria (C·E) 18:39, 11 April 2012 (MDT)

Intensity Gates and Other

I kinda thought about extra information that we can add in the chapters. The first thing, which we've been doing a bit recently are the Intensity Gates, their intensities, and what's in em. I'll need to get to Chapter 13's after the Ground Mission is added. Next, knowing that certain chapters provide different weapons, I kinda thought about listing some of the more common weapons that appear in certain chapters in case someone wants to look for them. For example, I've been doing Chapter 3 very often these days, seeing EZ Cannons, Tiger Claws, Hewdraw Clubs, and Standard Orbitars being frequent. I'm not sure about the Powers though since they seem random to me. What do you think? AdmiralPit 01:23, 12 April 2012 (MDT)

I see... I wasn't going to get down to the dot since things are subject to change, though I'd probably expect about 3 weapons to be most common per chapter, but I don't think I can do all of that. I guess we can skip that, and I'll take care of Chapter 13's Intensity gate. If there's any other ideas or something, I can try to help. Plus I'm curious if the Guttler is one of those enemies where you have to move the circle pad around to break free fast like the Hugworm and Sinistew. I was concerned because I always thought it was one of them instant kill creatures, til I saw Dark Pit get attacked by one in Chapter 21 once. Oh well, I just have a lot of things on my mind. Sorry for the rant. AdmiralPit 05:22, 17 April 2012 (MDT)

Sorry about that

I recently finished my work experience which is why I wasn't able to make any updates on this wiki for the past few weeks. I didn't even have much time to play Uprising myself either, and doesn't help I have another busy week with tests. So how do you like Uprising so far? Did you beat it? -RicketyTrigger 23:15, 15 April 2012 (MDT)-

Great to hear the game exceeded your expectations, it also exceeded mine as well. It truly was a refreshing and breathtaking experience from Nintendo, now I hope they consider making another Kid Icarus game for the Wii U in the near future. But even the greatest games have some flaws unfortunately. Well, here's my list of things I didn't like too much about Uprising. I'll start off with the main one. The decision to make Medusa not the main baddie was disappointing to me. As much as hilarious and awesome Hades is, using him as a villain in fictional media is overdone. Medusa still didn't get her revenge yet, so I hope she gets to fulfill it possibly in the next game if there is one and if she returns. Judging from the last chapter, you can tell she's not finished with her business with Pit and Palutena just yet, but Hades got in the way. But the following are really just small nitpicks of mine I suppose. I wish Poseidon made more appearances, he does sound like a pretty powerful god. He's probably up there with Dyntos and Hades. I also wished Magnus' and Gaol's backstory was explained a bit more. Is Gaol Magnus' ex-wife? They talk about Magnus' child being deceased, but no mentions about Magnus' wife. And the explanation on why Pit couldn't fly was really poor. The game just says his wings don't work right, but why don't they? Is it cause he was born that way, or was he involved in some kind of accident? I was also disappointed how Nintendo hyped up Dark Pit being such a mysterious character, but in the end, he was just some clone created by a mirror. That's not too exciting. Speaking of which, I realized a huge error in the earlier screenshots: http://www.flickr.com/photos/abriael/6766859325/in/set-72157629043030453. The Mirror of Truth isn't broken! If that wasn't there, I wouldn't have guessed of Dark Pit being created by a mirror. And finally, I wished the ending was a bit longer. After all, Pit claims he will return to Skyworld victorious, but it never shows him returning home. Also what happened to some of the other characters like Magnus, Dark Pit, Arlon, Pyrrhon, etc? But still, I really liked Uprising. Not only is it my favorite 3DS game so far, but possibly one of my favorites of all time. I highly doubt we will see a new KI game announced this E3, but I hope Nintendo announces one next year at the earliest.
Honestly (while I do agree that more information could have been given about the various characters) I'm okay with the fact that a lot of questions have gone unanswered. Because it leaves incentive to create more games for the series. And as for Dark Pit, while I liked the idea of him being Pit's long-lost brother, I still ended up being okay with his story. When you really think about it, his origins and personality are very similar to Shadow the Hedgehog's. Both were not born but "created" in some sort of fashion, both fight and then later help (depending on the circumstances) their original counterparts, and both have the same kind of emo-esch attitude towards life. -WingedFish 12:34, 5 May 2012 (MDT)-

Idol descriptions

Where do I put idol descriptions for Uprising enemies? I have idols for all of the Underworld foes, most of the Forces of Nature and a lot of the Aurum, and I would like to put the descriptions on, but I don't know whether to put them in the characteristics section or the first section. TheDavsto 11:02, 29 April 2012 (MDT)

StrategyWiki

Hey, StrategyWiki is using our info right now, which is fine, but after all the Kid Icarus: Uprising stuff is updated here, it has been suggested that we go work on their Kid Icarus: Uprising guide and link to it in our sidebar. What do you think? --Starphoria (C·E) 09:33, 5 May 2012 (MDT)

Idol list

I have got all of the in-game idols for Uprising, and I would like to make a page listing them. I guessed i needed permission, so I came here. If you let me, I will have to ask a couple of questions, then I would be fine. TheDavsto 03:27, 6 May 2012 (MDT)

Okay. Where do I get the pictures from, and how do I upload them? TheDavsto 02:23, 7 May 2012 (MDT)

Hi, I just got the Kid Icarus: Uprising press kit from a friend on IRC, and it has a lot higher-resolution images of the main characters. I can't currently replace pictures with other pictures now, though. It says I don't have permission.

Is it something to do with email verification? It won't let me verify my email. It says "Mailer returned: Unknown error in PHP's mail() function."

How can I get permissions? I could always give you the images and you could do it if you'd like. Robotortoise (talk) 21:02, 18 January 2016 (MST)

Sorry about the very late response. It's possibly just a matter of gathering a handful of edits before uploading becomes possible, but I'll let the domain holder know about this issue and see if he can offer some insight. Toast Wii U U.pngltimatumSwadloon.png 11:49, 4 February 2016 (MST)
Still working on fixing the e-mails. In the mean time, I've created a bypass by creating a group called ManualConfirmed with autoconfirm capabilities. I've added Robotortoise to that group. Maxite (talk) 18:02, 15 February 2016 (MST)
