'''Hades''' (ハデス Hadesu) is the primary antagonist of the kid icarus series, and marks his appearance as the true antagonist of uprising. He is the god and master of the [[Underworld]] who give medusa and orcos his army in the first and second games, and is responsible for [[Medusa]]'s revival in uprising, which originally set the events of the game in motion. Medusa was revived as a distraction against [[Pit]] while Hades was busy gathering souls of the human race in order to store them within his realm. He accomplished this by using lies to turn different nations against each other, causing war to break out.
