Enemy Type: Burrowing

The Hugworm is a ground enemy that's part of the Forces of Nature in Kid Icarus: Uprising. It resembles a large green worm with a corn-like head that has two eyes and a rotating spiked beak. It can attack by either charging at Pit using its drill-like mouth, or by coiling around the angel and squeezing him tightly to do a steady amount of damage before launching Pit upwards. Struggling while being held will lessen the damage done and time of being held.

Appearances

Kid Icarus: Uprising

These worms use their beaks to burrow through the ground and suddenly appear. They coil around their prey until it loses consciousness and then gobble it up with delight. Hugworms fear being cooked, so your best strategy is fire and lots of it.

The Hugworm is first encountered in Viridi, Goddess of Nature, and can also be found during Wrath of the Reset Bomb, and The Lunar Sanctum.
