The Trailtail (ライナ Raina) is an insect-like enemy in Kid Icarus: Uprising. It looks like a beetle with four eyes that has a face on its back, complete with its own pair of eyes, lips, and a horn that resembles a nose. They attack by flying across the screen, leaving behind a trail of spider-like web which will hurt Pit if he touches it.
In Kid Icarus: Uprising
Trailtails are rare air battle enemies, first encountered during Medusa's Final Battle. Despite what the Idol says, Trailtails always draw straight lines as the attack, never zigzags.
Idol Description
Trailtail flies in a zigzag pattern, leaving a trail of thread behind it. Like a spider with its silk, Trailtail uses this thread to capture prey. However, making too many trails can leave it famished, forcing it to pick a perfect spot to really let loose.
Trivia
- Although the Idol shows their animation at ground level, Trailtails are only ever seen in the air during the game.
