The Tribyte (ポル Poru) is an Aurum enemy introduced in Kid Icarus: Uprising. It is a small, perpetually rotating pyramid that occasionally stops to separate its three points and fire zigzagging particles of energy from its center. Tribytes are the most common of the Aurum troops, appearing in larges numbers in every Aurum chapter as well as The Chaos Vortex and The Three Trials. They are also one of the few types of Aurum enemies to turn red and gain extra power under the control of Aurum Pyrrhon.
Idol description
The Aurum come form outer space, using a mysterious anti-gravity technology to keep their forces in the air. Tribytes, the Aurum's basic soldiers, take advantage of this high-tech science to fly in coordinated groups.
Trivia
- The triangular enemies that appear during the fight with the Aurum Generator are not classified as Tribytes, though they behave in nearly the exact same manner.
- Tribytes closely resemble the Triforce when viewed from behind, although this is most likely a coincidence.
