I've noticed that we've had to block almost 1,000 spambots since they started appearing a few months ago and they pop up too quickly for them to be blocked at this point; I've never seen anything like it before on any of the wikis I've used- it has to be some kind of coordinated attack. Although this may sound drastic, I suggest that we disable user registration until the spambots are eliminated for good; otherwise we'll eventually be overwhelmed by them completely. At the very least, we ought to require email confirmation for new users along with the autoconfirmation system suggested by JORDAN DEBONO. Whatever we do, we should do it quickly before it's too late.--[[User:Anothrgamer1234|Anothrgamer1234]] 20:10, 19 August 2012 (MDT)
