Pit is Palutena's most loyal servant, as well as the captain of her army. He is sometimes erroneously referred to as "Kid Icarus" in reference to the English title of the series. Pit is always armed with his trusty bow and arrows and prefers ranged combat, though he has demonstrated a fair amount of melee capability.

Pit is set to return in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate game, resembling and acting similarly for the most part like he does in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. He has a brand new Final Smash in which he summons the Lightning Chariot to ram other fighters. Unlike the previous installments, Pit will be an unlockable character.

Role in World of Light
Pit is one of the numerous fighters summmoned to fight the mysterious entity, Galeem. He attempted to boost the morale of his comrades by claiming, "We can do this, I know we will!". Despite his initial confidence, Pit is later depicted fleeing from Galeem's devastating attack along with Dark Pit, while being granted the power of flight by Palutena. After Palutena's defeat, the two angels lose their flight then are instantly disintegrated by Galeem's light beams, transforming them into spirits. Along with the rest of the fighters (except Kirby), Galeem creates false copies of Pit to do his bidding.
