Satoru Okada

Satoru Okada (岡田 智 Okada Satoru) is a well-known Japanese video game engineer and he is also the current general manager of Nintendo Research & Engineering. He is best known for his work on the Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP, and Nintendo DS systems. He also produced and directed several games during his work at Nintendo. He began working at Nintendo in 1975 and worked on the Nintendo Research & Development 1 team with Gunpei Yokoi. After Yokoi left in 1996, Nintendo Research & Development 1 split up, Nintendo made a portable hardware division where Satoru Okada became in charge. He retired from Nintendo in January 2010.
