On another note

Template:Infobox Console - Can you please shorten it to the basics, nothing huge is necessary. Also, make it in the style of our other infoboxes. See Template:GameBox. We don't really want console pages quite yet... Glad to have you on board. --Starphoria 13:57, 15 February 2012 (MST)

I see no reason not to have console articles. In addition to the reinstatement of 3DS, the only others we would need are NES, Game Boy and Wii. You say you don't want console articles quite yet, but there's no advantages to deleting one that has been made already just because the other three aren't there yet. When is quite yet? I'm happy to make the other articles. For the infobox, sure I'll fix it, but only if it's going to get used. ToastUltimatum 16:25, 15 February 2012 (MST)
Well, the community on Skype decided against it for now. --Starphoria 18:53, 15 February 2012 (MST)
But did the community decide against Console articles because they didn't think they look nice and will change their minds in a couple months time, or is it because the community can't be bothered to make the articles? I've offered to make the other articles, so I would propose that you all reconsider. ToastUltimatum 05:25, 16 February 2012 (MST)
Do you have a Skype account? We can talk about it there, that way, you can reason with everyone else if you want to. --Starphoria 08:06, 16 February 2012 (MST)
Because on Skype they thought it wasn't very necessary to have them, but if you want to argue otherwise, give me your Skype account, and I'll add you to the chat and you can tell them why you think we need console pages. If they then want console pages, then you can make them, but as of now, wit has been deicded against. You can talk to the other staff members too, but I'm pretty much handling most of the situations right now. --Starphoria (C·E) 08:19, 16 February 2012 (MST)
To butt in, here are the reasons why we don't have console articles, or even plan on having them. First, our affiliate Nintendo Wiki has articles of great depth and detail on the consoles. Second, any information that would be relevant to Kid Icarus Wiki about the consoles would be limited, as our goal is to provide information on the Kid Icarus franchise, so anything of note that could be said about the consoles could easily be included in the game articles themselves. Third, our current coverage is for "Kid Icarus franchise," which consoles are not a part of that. There are some other reasons, but I've listed the major three. I thank you for your interest in the wiki, and if you wish to talk about this in more detail you know our Skype and contact info. -- Maxite 09:44, 16 February 2012 (MST)
Sorry, I don't have Skype. If you had an IRC Channel, I could get on there, but no more. If you feel that steongly about console articles, then I guess we'll have to do without. What we do on my primary wiki is have a short article about the console, details on its relevance to the franchise the Wiki covers (in my case Smash Bros.) and a link to Nintendo Wiki in the infobox (NIWA-based affiliation). It just would have been courteous to place a deletion tag on the 3DS article rather than just upfront deleting it. ToastUltimatum 14:23, 16 February 2012 (MST)

(reset indent) My apologies, then. If you have any other template ideas, feel free to make share them, make sure you use our color scheme, though. --Starphoria (C·E) 14:41, 16 February 2012 (MST)

EiC Close

Its actually not closed... so you were right the first time :P XD He is serving as the acting EiC. That is for community approval. It kind of got messy, we just want to make sure he has community approval :P Sorry about that! --Starphoria (C·E) 17:41, 18 February 2012 (MST)

Thank you

Thank you for your contributions. --Starphoria (C·E) 18:09, 26 February 2012 (MST)

Admin rights

Hi ToastUltimatum. You've been a continued active contributor, and I think you are ready to take on a higher role on the wiki. I'm prepared to give you administrator rights. If you accept, just say so, and I'd be happy to give you the rights and update everything. --Starphoria (C·E) 02:55, 12 July 2012 (MDT)

I'd be more than happy to accept these rights! I'm not that up on Uprising, so I shan't be making any articles on that front, but I'll stick around the Smash Bros, Anime and Miscellaneous departments, as well as patrolling RecentChanges, getting involved in discussions and disputes, and combating the obvious vandal attack. Toast  ltimatum  03:01, 12 July 2012 (MDT)
I'm not going to be online much today, 6-hour car journey and such, but I'll take the promotion whenever you can do it. Toast  ltimatum  04:00, 12 July 2012 (MDT)
Done. If you could add your information to Icaruspedia:Contact and Icaruspedia:Staff. I'll give you an orange highlight on the RecentChanges later today. --Starphoria (C·E) 16:55, 12 July 2012 (MDT)
Also, can you add the admin category and the {{Admin}} template to your userpage? --Starphoria (C·E) 16:56, 12 July 2012 (MDT)

RE: Redirects

Dear ToastUltimatum

thank you for your quick response. It's much appreciated. Just one small query, where do I type in that code, in the search bar or the aticle itself?

JORDAN DEBONO 03:05, 12 July 2012 (MDT)

That's great thank you very much :)
JORDAN DEBONO 03:18, 12 July 2012 (MDT)

RE: Hello

Sorry, but you'll have to try harder than that. Some community you have here, going to other wikis and 'persuading' users to join here. Delete this message, block me if you will. I'm going home Fang 06:51, 15 July 2012 (MDT) Huh? Oh sorry, that was a bit of a derp move XD Fang 06:56, 15 July 2012 (MDT)

Btw, I recorded our conversation using PtintScreen. Yeah, I'll see what the admin thinks of it Fang 06:59, 15 July 2012 (MDT)

Go ahead, he might see more sense in it than you did. Toast  ltimatum  07:01, 15 July 2012 (MDT)

"Sorry, but you'll have to try harder than that. Some community you have here, going to other wikis and 'persuading' users to join here. Delete this message, block me if you will. I'm going home"

Oh god... Look, I don't usually stay up that late without coffee. It may sound like a load of crap, but it really does have an effect on my state of mind Fang 16:55, 16 July 2012 (MDT)

Just so you know, I didn't block you Fang 17:39, 28 July 2012 (MDT)

IRC?

So, does this place have an IRC? Fang 16:21, 15 July 2012 (MDT)

Not at this moment in time, though setting one up is something we have been considering recently. Toast  ltimatum  16:40, 15 July 2012 (MDT)
By "we" he means just me and him. I guess we could bring this to Skyworld. IceBlue[E] 21:20, 15 July 2012 (MDT)
"We" means me and Starphoria. Toast  ltimatum  07:40, 16 July 2012 (MDT)
Never mind if Star goes back on #sw, I'll discuss it with him. IceBlue[E] 14:42, 16 July 2012 (MDT)

My Local Time

Dear ToastUltimatum,

I've never actually noticed this now but the time given when I edit articles etc. is wrong. For example, the time given after my name is wrong. It reads 14:44 when actually it is 22:44 over here. I live in Europe, Malta, meaning my world time is GMT+1. Could you please arrange this for me, or otherwise tell me how I can do so please? Thanks for your time,

JORDAN DEBONO 14:44, 24 July 2012 (MDT)

Being British, I've had the same thing. Anyways, head to Special:Preferences, click Date & Time, then choose your timezone in the dropdown selection that you'll see. That's all there is to it :) Toast  ltimatum  15:49, 24 July 2012 (MDT)
I've gone on Date and Time and chose "Europe/Malta". The time it then displays is correct but for some reason it doesn't change time shown after my name. But it really doesn't matter, no need to turn this into a project. Thanks anyways :)
JORDAN DEBONO 00:51, 25 July 2012 (MDT)
p.s. While on preferences I realized there was a section called Autoconfirmed Users. Has the setting finally be installed or is it in progress ??
Every wiki has the data for an autoconfirmed users setting, Icaruspedia just hasn't entered any quota to reach it, so even the spambots become autoconfirmed when they join. Toast  ltimatum  05:46, 25 July 2012 (MDT)
Oh that's good to hear. You learn something new everyday. Thanks JORDAN DEBONO 06:38, 25 July 2012 (MDT)

Ice Blue

Can you please tell IceBlue to stop harassing me, I'm not feeling anymore welcome with him constantly spamming threats. Thanks Fang 23:39, 6 August 2012 (MDT)

@IceBlue and @Fang= I know it isn't my place to butt in, but I couldn't help myself from reading the argument. I'm not going to side with anyone, all I will say is please refrain from the swear words ! This is a 12+ wiki, but rest assured that even 7 year olds manage to wriggle in here. It's not as if Icaruspedia is famous, so lets try to at least maintain the current standards we have now. I'm not some goody-two shoes myself, but I believe in morals and standards, and be alerted that these are lost through insignificant problems like this. JORDAN DEBONO 02:19, 7 August 2012 (MDT)
I didn't. Fang 02:47, 7 August 2012 (MDT)
Debono :| You can discuss the censorship rule, but for now we have uncensorship. IceBlue[E] 19:13, 7 August 2012 (MDT)
This is a fight screen to screen, not face to face, where the words chosen are purposely placed, and don't come out naturally. However, I can understand that things must have got serious, although this doesn't excuse. Even though you're teenagers, you can't forget the fact that other users, possibly without accounts, can still be present and watch the outcome. And this isn't only directed to this particular case, but to all future edit wars and likewise. And I know it isn't the time right now but it has already happened once: please don't call me DeBono, it's Jordan. JORDAN DEBONO 01:21, 8 August 2012 (MDT)
