Nintendo Music is a music streaming application for iOS and Android smart devices as well as web browsers featuring original soundtracks from various Nintendo games. The application requires a Nintendo Account with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership to use.
Music from the Famicom and NES versions of Kid Icarus have been available on the app since May 2025.
Overview
Nintendo Music functions like most music apps and allows for streaming and downloading of music tracks, as well as creation of playlists, favoriting tracks, and other functions. Game soundtracks are usually added weekly.
The app contains music grouped by game, and almost all games also have their own set of themed playlists. All games have a "Top Tracks" playlist, that contains a selection of tracks that are largely considered the "main" ones of the game. The app also has a "spoiler block" feature, allowing users to filter out all tracks from a specific game. Almost every track has its own unique image that shows an occasion in which the track plays in that game, with the images having a white border to give them a resemblance to photographs. The mastering for the app's music tracks is handled by Noisycroak Co., Ltd. [1]
Outside of game-specific playlists, there are also general themed playlists that include tracks from various games, some of which include at least one Kid Icarus series track. There are also specific playlists related to characters, though there are currently no playlists pertaining to Kid Icarus characters.
Certain tracks can be extended to 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Generally in the case of Kid Icarus series tracks, most tracks that loop in-game can be extended (leaving out jingles, cutscene themes, and credits themes), but some exceptions exist. A sleep timer is also present, which allows users to set a time limit after which playback will stop.
Tracks and playlists
Below this section are tables that show detailed info for each track and the playlists they are featured in. Whilst the amount of tracks between the Famicom and NES versions are identical, many Famicom tracks sound different from the NES versions due to differing sound hardware, in addition to many tracks being shorter or longer, even by just a few seconds.
Kid Icarus (Famicom Disk System)
Music from Kid Icarus (Famicom Disk System) has been available to listen to in the app since May 20, 2025. For the sake of brevity, every track in the "All tracks" is also present in the "Top tracks" and "Nintendo Music Top Tracks" playlists, and every track that supports the "Extend to…" feature is also present in the "Extended-Playback Collection" playlist.

Trivia
- Both versions of Kid Icarus are only two of a small handful of soundtracks in Nintendo Music in which the "All tracks" and "Top tracks" playlists are identical. This trait is shared with Gomoku Narabe Renju, Maj-Jong, Baseball, Donkey Kong Jr. Math, Tennis, Pinball, Wild Gunman, Golf, Devil World, F1 Race, Clu Clu Land, Excitebike, Ice Climber, Soccer, Wrecking Crew, Gyromite, and Yoshi (NES).
- Coincidentally, all of these are NES/Famicom games.
