Trust me, there is no point in blocking the spambots now. They can't make userpages, so all they can do is register. The only downfall that comes of this is the fact that they will clog up [[Special:RecentChanges|Recent Changes]], and blocking each individual bot will only double the amount of clogging. Take a look at [http://mutecity.org/wiki/Special:RecentChanges F-Zero Wiki's Recent Changes], they put autoconfirmed rights in place, so all the spambots can do is register, nothing more. It's better for all of us if you don't bother. Talking with Starphoria (who said she'd get this message to you, but posting here just in case), I noticed that the [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:CharInsert CharInsert Extension] is [[Special:Version#Installed extensions|not installed]], thus making the tags on [[MediaWiki:Edittools]] display incorrectly. Apparently this was installed earlier, but a MediaWiki update caused it to break or something. Was wondering if you'd be willing to fix it?
