But what changes have you actually made to the LocalSettings? I would presume you made it so users can't become autoconfirmed and make userpages without reaching a certain edit quota. If that is the case, it's pointless blocking the spambots now, as they will never reach that edit quota. We'll be like F-Zero Wiki, having spambots register, but they won't edit. And of course, their registration can be hidden from Recent Changes, so it's not a problem that would cause the death of us. Trust me, there is no point in blocking the spambots now. They can't make userpages, so all they can do is register. The only downfall that comes of this is the fact that they will clog up [[Special:RecentChanges|Recent Changes]], and blocking each individual bot will only double the amount of clogging. Take a look at [http://mutecity.org/wiki/Special:RecentChanges F-Zero Wiki's Recent Changes], they put autoconfirmed rights in place, so all the spambots can do is register, nothing more. It's better for all of us if you don't bother. Talking with Starphoria (who said she'd get this message to you, but posting here just in case), I noticed that the [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:CharInsert CharInsert Extension] is [[Special:Version#Installed extensions|not installed]], thus making the tags on [[MediaWiki:Edittools]] display incorrectly.
