The '''Bow''', known in Japan as '''God Bow''' (神弓 ''Shinkyū''), is [[Pit]]'s primary [[weapon]] in the [[Kid Icarus series|''Kid Icarus'' series]]. It is often seen with Pit in his various cameos.

The Bow returns as one of the basic weapons that Pit can use in battle. One of the versions resembles the traditional design from ''Super Smash Bros. Brawl'', while the others have completely new designs. It fires charged and rapid fire arrows that function most effectively at medium-long ranges. This [[weapon]] has a homing property like the [[Palm]], making it useful for taking out quickly moving enemies from a safe distance. In melee range, Pit splits the Bow into two smaller blades in the same way as he did in ''Super Smash Bros. Brawl''; however, they do not inflict much melee damage compared to other weapon types. For the Bow's special attack, Pit will aim upwards and fire multiple arrows that fall down as a rain of arrows.

====Variations====

The different Bows are as follows:

| style="text-align: center;"|A prototype bow designed by Palutena and the favored weapon of [[Dark Pit]]. Unlike most Bows, its projectiles are strongest at close ranges and lose power at long distances. However, its range and homing ability are above average, making it useful in any situation.  

| style="text-align: center;"|A futuristic-looking bow that harnesses the power of comets. The Meteor Bow's dash shots fire heat-seeking, triple arrows that are nearly impossible to avoid for opponents. It's charged shot is an exceptionally strong projectile with the power of a meteor strike, although it has very little homing ability. This variation also has the longest range of any other Bow.

| style="text-align: center;"|A gold bow with various heart designs. Its projectiles have better homing capabilities than most bows, but they travel slowly and inflict little damage.  

| style="text-align: center;"|A bow with a design that resembles the head of a bird, complete with eyes, a beak, and feathers. It has high-speed shots, long range, a high chance at nullifying enemy fire, but lacks melee capabilities and charges slowly.

| style="text-align: center;"|A bow created using Aurum technology. Rare among bows, its continuous-fire dash attack unleashes a barrage of multiple shots.  Though it has good range and great homing ability, its low attack power makes it better at a distance.

''The bow Pit got from [[Palutena]] after the [[Medusa]] incident. As a standard bow, it's capable of firing arrows of light that can change direction. It can also be split to form two short swords—Pit holds one sword in his right hand in a standard grip and one in his left in a reverse grip. He may hold them like this so he can shift between bow and swords without losing a beat.''
