The spambot situation is getting progressively worse; I've had to ban nearly 100 of the spambot accounts now and they still keep making more of them. I suggest taking JORDAN DEBONO's suggestion in order to minimize theit impact. Alternately, we could try using a WHOIS check to see if they share a common IP address range and block all IPs within that range. :Dear Maxite, I have a simple and effective idea as for how to remove these spambots. I'm sure it won't take long to set up. Icaruspedia must use the system of ''autocomfirming'' users. This means when a new member joins, he must wait for at least seven days to pass and for him to do 10 edits to create his own profile. The '''Super Mario Wiki''' already utilize this, and its effectiveness shows because from the year and a half I've spent with them I never came across one spambot. I hope you take this relatively simple idea into thought.
