Type: Weapon
Specializes In: Melee/Ranged Combat
Strengths: Strong backward-dash charge shots, increased power at long range
Weaknesses: Low homing ability, weak forward-dash attacks

The Royal Blade, known in Japan as King's Fencing (王者の撃剣 Ouja no Gekiken, ), is a Blade in Kid Icarus: Uprising that fires clusters of jewels. While the charged shots have relatively poor homing capability, the dash continuous fire's homing ability is a good bit better, although its overall attack power is rather low. Its backward dash attacks have a long range and deal more damage than its other attacks, making it ideal for players who wish to focus on evading enemy attacks without sacrificing offensive power. Unlike most blades, its attacks gain power as they travel.

Idol description

"Once the heirloom of a royal house, this blade has since been worn by time and neglect. Its most powerful shots are those used during a backward dash, making the Royal Blade perfect for a hit-and-run strategy."

Base statistics

Notice:
Weapon data is for weapons with zero ranged and melee stars with no mods to them. Distance refers to the maximum range a shot can travel, measured with non-homing shots. Damage (near) refers to the damage done when the target is as close as possible. Damage (far) refers to the damage given at maximum range. The symbol "—" means the corresponding stat is not applicable to that specific attack.
