The Arms Altar is the central hub area in Kid Icarus: Uprising and is where most of the game's menu functionality occurs. Although the location provides numerous customization options for players, it cannot be freely explored like a typical hub area. Players can purchase items, upgrade or buy weapons and Powers, and even try out said weapons in the practice range. The main shop is run by a Centurion Strongarm and is where all purchases can be made with the Hearts that players have collected. In addition, the Arms Altar contains the main doorway that Pit uses to fly on his missions. Although its official name was established in Uprising, the Arms Altar originally appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl where it housed both the Reflecting Pool and the main doorway mentioned before.

Modes
===Redeem Hearts==
This mode can be used to buy weapons with hearts you have achieved. At some times a "Sale" is put on one of the weapons, lowering the amount of hearts needed to purchase the weapons. Pressing the Y button, as in many modes, will show the weapon you have equipped.
Fuse Weapons
This mode allows you to fuse weapons without using hearts. A "\" mark shows that you cannot fuse a particular weapon with itself. However, you fuse two of the same type of weapon (e.g. Jetstream Orbitars and Jetstream Orbitars) it can fuse into another weapon. An "X" mark shows that you have not unlocked the weapon yet. The weapons can be categorized into five categories: Strength, A to Z, Category, Order Used, and Order Acquired. The grid is divided in two sections: the "A" and "B" section.
Convert to Weapons
This mode allows you to "dismantle" weapons in order to convert them to hearts. The higher the value of the weapon, the higher the hearts are worth. They are categorized into five categories: Hearts,
Strength, A to Z, Category, Order Used.
