It can be charged by holding the B button, but Pit wil eventually fire the arrow automatically. The weapon itself however, is not particularly strong; it lacks knock-out power. On the other hand, Palutena's Arrow can be quite deadly on Sudden Death matches, as it can KO lighter weight characters when fully charged.
