It is unlikely that this game is considered canonical in the overall series, having not been originally released in Japan.  There are no mentions of the game's occurences in the newly released [[Kid Icarus: Uprising]], nor is it mentioned in any of the Trophies in [[Super Smash Brothers Brawl]], being represented only by a single sticker of Pit. However, this game did set the standard logo for the series until ''Uprising'' was released, and it also gave Pit basic characteristics which passed onto the [[3DS]] game.
