Project Sora (プロジェクトソラ株式会社) is a subsidiary of the Japanese company Nintendo. The company was formed in 2009 by Satoru Iwata and former HAL Laboratory employee Masahiro Sakurai after the success of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The company is mostly owned by Nintendo, while Sakurai's own Sora Ltd and third party companies make up 28% of the rest of the ownership.

Project Sora recently worked on the development of the upcoming game, Kid Icarus: Uprising. Project Sora also worked on Super Smash Bros. Brawl.[1] Project Sora also recently began development on the two new Super Smash Bros. games for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
