The Seafloor Palace is a new location in Kid Icarus: Uprising, and is supposedly the home to Thanatos. As its name suggests, this legendary structure is hidden deep underwater, accessible by a magical pathway located beneath the waves that only the god Poseidon can reveal. When traversing it, Pit will have to fly very close to the ground and even be able to run extensively while avoiding numerous rocks that litter the seabed, in addition to Medusa's aquatic forces.
Idol Description
Thanatos's high-security fortress at the bottom of the sea. It's connected to the Underworld, allowing forces to be sent to the surface via bubble transport. Poseidon helps Pit infiltrate the Seasloor Palace by parting the ocean.
Trivia
- The literal splitting of the ocean to reach the Seafloor Palace is likely a biblical reference to the Crossing of the Red Sea, a passage from the Hebrew Book of Exodus. The passage described how Moses was able to lead his people across the Red Sea after their God divided the sea into two walls of water, allowing them safe passage along dry land.
