The Arm's Altar is the central hub area in Kid Icarus: Uprising and is where most of the game's menu functionality occurs. Although the location provides numerous customization options for players, it cannot be freely explored like a typical hub area. Players can purchase items, upgrade or buy weapons and Powers, and even try out said weapons in the practice range. The main shop is run by a Centurion Strongarm and is where all purchases can be made with the Hearts that players have collected. In addition, Arm's Altar contains the main doorway that Pit uses to fly on his missions. Although its official name was established in Uprising, Arm's Altar originally appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl where it housed both the Reflecting Pool and the main doorway mentioned before.
