A Centurion Strongarm is a large and rather intimidating Centurion introduced in Kid Icarus: Uprising. One is seen at the Arm's Altar, most notably seen when converting weapons into hearts. Centurion Strongarms make their chapter debut in The Aurum Brain where they tow the platform Pit stands on to the Aurum Brain. They later debut as enemies in The Ring of Chaos. On ground segments they attack using punches and powerful pile drivers, but in flying sections (and while engaging Pit at long range) they attack by throwing large dumbbells.

In Kid Icarus: Uprising

Centurion strongarms first appear in The Aurum Brain, pulling the piece of land Pit is on towards Aurum Pyrrhon. It isn't until The Ring of Chaos that they can actually be fought. In one of the conversations Pit has with Magnus, Pit states that the reasons centurions are weak is that they have no real reason to get stronger since they can be revived multiple times.

Appearance

As their name indicates they have massive arms one of which has a tattoo of Palutena. They are wrapped in chains and have a helmet that as wings attached to it. The only clothing they wear is a waist garment with a belt and some cloth gloves. They also have surprisingly tiny shoes and feet compared to their body size.

Idol Description

While very strong, these muscle-bound centurions aren't the brightest bunch. Therefore they're often tasked with hurling barbells and working the crank that converts weapons into hearts. They make excellent moving buddies.

Trivia

  • The tattoo on the left arm of a Centurion Strongarm is a picture of Palutena as she appeared in the original Kid Icarus.
  • Centurion Strongarms are the only characters in the game that were voiced by an uncredited actor, as one was seen talking during the events of The Aurum Brain.
