The Clobbler (りんごちゃん Ringochan) is a dangerous enemy introduced in Kid Icarus: Uprising. It is one of Viridi's deadliest minions, although it looks deceptively innocent at first. Initially resembling an elf-like plant, this creature will mutate into a massive and deformed monster if provoked in any way. It can be considered an equivalent to the Underworld Army's Clubberskull.
Characteristics
While the Clobbler is calm, the creature looks like an apple with cute eyes and elf-like feet. When angered however, the Clobbler transforms to a terrifying and deformed monster with a pair of muscular arms.
In Kid Icarus: Uprising
Clobblers are uncommon enemies found during land battles, and only once during an air battle. It is first found during the land battle of The Lunar Sanctum.
Idol Description
The Clobbler is usually a meek creature living a modest life of restraint. But once angered, it blows up and mutates into an aggressive monster. Those who incur the Clobbler's wrath are advised to run for three days to give it time to calm down.
Trivia
- The Clobbler's name is likely deprived from a portmanteau of the words "clobber" (the act of beating something up, as an angry Clobbler is likely to do), and "cobbler" (a type of dish typically made from apples, explaining the creature's apple-like appearance).
