The Centurion Knights, known in Japan as Icarus Knights (イカロスナイト Ikarosunaito), are an elite group of Centurions introduced in Kid Icarus: Uprising who specialize in wielding a halberd and shield, rather than the standard bow and arrow. They also wear shining clad armour and helmets, making them tougher than the usual soldier. While not as powerful as the Centurion Strongarms, they are more intelligent. Like all centurions, they can fly allowing them superior dodging abilities and speed. Centurion Knights can be defeated in one hit by attacking their backs, otherwise their shields must be destroyed, revealing the body to be attacked.
In Kid Icarus: Uprising
Centurion Knights first appear in Chapter 18 where they're enemies Pit (or Magnus's body) must destroy. When they notice the player, the Knights react by entering a defensive position, waiting for the time to ram their enemy. While not as common as the regular Centurions, Knights are placed in key positions where they cannot be missed.
Idol Description
Palutena's royal guard is armed to defend strategic locations throughout Skyworld. Centurion knights are considered the best of the best, fearlessly charging at enemies when their stout shields are broken in combat.
