The Mahva (マーヴァ Māva) is a Forces of Nature enemy introduced in Kid Icarus: Uprising. This creature looks somewhat aquatic in nature, despite it being capable of flight. The Mahva is a defensive monster that can put up a force field to protect itself and other Nature troops within its reach from attacks. Because of this, it can be considered equivalent to the Underworld’s very own Shildeen, although its force field has a much shorter range of effect in comparison.
Characteristics
Mahvas are nudibranch-like creatures that have several eyes and it's head is cylindrical and looks like a cloak. Its insides look like petals in a flower and its head is a cream color whereas its tail has a bluish color and at the edges it has a pinkish tone. They have movement patterns similar to swimming.
In Kid Icarus: Uprising
The Mahva are uncommon enemies that first appear in the aerial battle of The Lunar Sanctum.
Idol Description
Mahva defends itself with a sphere of water that only allows friendly fire to pass through. This makes it an ideal front-line soldier for the Forces of Nature. But don't give up: persistent attacks will eventually break through Mahva's shield.
In Super Smash Bros. 4
Mahvas appear in the 3DS version as enemies in the Smash Run.
Trophy Description
A strange, fishlike thing that shrouds itself in a large, spherical barrier. When it sees one of its allies, it extends the barrier to protect them as well. As you attack the barrier, it'll slowly change color until it finally breaks. That's when the Mahva will try to escape. Finish it off before it does to nab yourself some defense stat boosts!
