Captain Flare (太陽仮面, Taiyoukamen) is a humanoid Forces of Nature enemy introduced in Kid Icarus: Uprising. This cycloptic being resembles a caped super hero with a flaming head. Unlike other Nature foes, Captain Flare is a celestial being whose starry cape acts as a portal to another dimension, where it can hide for long periods of time. It can also use the cape as a weapon by launching meteors from this said dimension as a projectile attack.
Characteristics
Captain Flares are the more anthropomorphic members of the Forces of Nature, sporting a rather comical appearance. They have flaming spherical heads with a single eye and a large grin. Captain Flares also have dark-skinned muscular bodies, and don a cosmic cape that leads to another dimension.
In Kid Icarus: Uprising
Captain Flares are uncommon enemies found in both land and air battles, first found during Wrath of the Reset Bomb.

He's the man of mystery. He disappears without a trace. He's the amazing Captain Flare! He shoots comets from the space rift within his cape—the very same cape that contains the alternate universe Captain Flare likes to disappear into.
