Palutena's Temple is the central palace located in Skyworld and home of the eponymous goddess of light, and the starting location of Pit's missions. It is also where the Arms Altar is located.

In Kid Icarus: Uprising

Idol Description

This Skyworld temple is the starting point for Pit's missions. Palutena's Temple is surrounded by a powerful force field that protects it from enemy attacks. The size of this force field can be adjusted, although it gets weaker the further it's stretched.

Other Appearances

Kid Icarus 3D Anime

Palutena's Temple is featured in one of the anime shots, Palutena's Revolting Dinner, but it has a vastly different look from other appearances, and has a more medieval castle style with fantasy elements opposed to the ancient Greek type of architecture commonly depicted in the games. The interior of the divine structure is also briefly observed in the beginning of Medusa's Revenge, where Palutena is kept imprisoned by Medusa.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U

The temple as seen in SSB4.

A stage inspired by this area was confirmed as a Wii U-exclusive. Little is currently known about the stage.

Trivia

  • It's very likely that Palutena's Temple and the Palace in the Sky are one in the same, and the name was changed due to the fact that Palutena and Medusa no longer co-rule.
  • The official artwork and AR Card of the temple in Uprising depicts the statue of Palutena with a noticeably different design.
