The Dog serves as a playable character in Chapter 18: The Ring of Chaos, of Kid Icarus: Uprising. Pit controls the animal by using the Ring of Chaos. This eventually allows him to find Magnus who then puts the ring on himself. The dog can run endlessly at a fairly high speed and helps Pit reach small areas that Pit himself would not be able to reach normally.

The dog appears shortly after the girl trips and drops the ring containing Pit's soul. He is shown sniffing the ground then immediately picking up the artifact allowing the angel to take control.

Idol Description

A stray dog roaming the city. Clever and affectionate, the dog had many human friends, each one giving him a different name. The Ring of Chaos passes from a girl to the dog before finally ending up in Magnus's hands.
