Fighters are special warriors that appear in Together Mode of Kid Icarus: Uprising. These battle-ready characters wear visors shaped like wings as well as matching armor. In addition, Fighters are also capable of utilizing all of Pit's weapons and powers in battle. Despite battling against each other in the multiplayer mode, the Fighters are still companions in training and are good-natured. This is shown when a team is defeated, an opposing Fighter will help the other team's angel to his feet. It is currently unclear what race they are due to their mysterious unaffiliated status shown on the AR Cards and Idol, and their ability to revive after death, though the latter is likely Palutena's doing.

In Kid Icarus: Uprising

Fighters only appear in the multiplayer mode of the game, and are neither shown nor mentioned in Solo Mode. They are used in both sports, Light vs. Dark and Free-for-All. In the latter, Fighters gather in a death match against each other, where the one with most kills and points is awarded the victor. Each Fighter wears the exact same armor, with only a basic color scheme to differentiate between them. There are twelve armor colors for Fighters — the same twelve colors that can be selected for Miis. In Free-For-All, the Fighter's armor color will be that of the Mii they have selected to represent their save file (unless another player that uses the same color was in a multiplayer room first; in that case, the Fighter's armor color will change to a random color that is not being used by any other Fighter).

In Light vs. Dark, there are two special, higher-ranking Fighters known as Light Fighters and Dark Fighters. Pit fights for the Light Fighters on the Light Team, while Dark Pit is allied with the Dark Fighters for the opposing Dark Team. While both sports involve attacking rivals, it is only done for the enjoyment of the gods and the practice for the Fighters themselves. Otherwise, as mentioned above, they are unaffiliated, serving no major faction.

Idol Descriptions

Fighter
Warriors who compete in the divine sports of Skyworld. They fight for no side but their own, and though not as formidable as Pit, they have skills that make them fierce in the field.

Light Fighter
Warriors fighting for the Light Team in the sport of the gods, Light vs. Dark. Light fighters are clad in shining white armor, a sign of their elite status. Yet despite being on the Light Team, Light Fighters aren't always the nicest guys.

Dark Fighter
Warriors fighting for the Dark Team in the sports of the gods, Light vs. Dark. Dark Fighters wear dark-colored armor that is both light and strong. While fierce in battle, Dark Fighters are pretty sweet dudes to hang out with.

Trivia

• Fighters do not have their own Eggplant or Tempura models. If one were to look at their fighter's legs when they are eggplanted or tempuraed, they will notice that the legs look like Pit's.
