Food consists of a variety of items that can be picked up to replenish health. They first appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee and later in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, where they could be picked up by characters to decrease their damage percentage. These rather simplistic items were carried over to Kid Icarus: Uprising, where they serve the same function. They are most often found in Treasure Chests, but can also be dropped by defeated enemies. Some food items that have been seen include cake, fruits, and meat.
