The Aurum Core is a boss introduced in Kid Icarus: Uprising, and a major control machine of the numerous Aurum Islands that support the extraterrestrial fleet.
In Kid Icarus: Uprising
The Aurum Core only makes an appearance in Chapter 15: Mysterious Invaders when Pit encounters it near the end as a boss battle. This alien machine's weak point is the glowing red center which Pit must shoot to take the it down. However, the Aurum Core is surrounded by many advanced security systems that protect it. There are large, rectangular shields that rotate around the core, and three circular turrets that also revolve it. In addition, the floor has electrical fields that can turn on and off on certain areas.
Idol Desciption
An artifact that controls one of the many floating islands in the Aurum. While destroying an Aurum Core will take down a group of islands, the sheer number of them makes targeting these weak points unlikely to affect the Aurum offensive.
