When attacking, Pit can judge the Fire Wyrm's remaining health by the number of segments left on its body, with the head being the last.

The Fire Wyrm (known in Japan as "Hell Dragon" ヘルドラゴン Heru Doragon) is a large enemy encountered in Kid Icarus: Uprising and extremely similar to the Fire Serpent. It is one of the more uncommon creatures encountered by Pit, yet it doesn't seem to attack much despite its threatening name. Fire Wyrms are first encountered in a cavern within Gaol's Castle in Magnus and the Dark Lord, and appear later in Heads of the Hewdraw, and The Wish Seed.

Characteristics

The Fire Wyrm is one of the larger monsters encountered in the game. It resembles a skeletal serpent with a human-like skull and two fangs. The creature also has two pairs of wings along its body, with the pair closest to its head being larger. Parts of its skeletal structure also produce fire, including its wings, spine, and head. Fire Wyrms, despite their size, don't actually attack very often and seem to lack a projectile attack as well. They can often be found floating lazily through the air, passing over Pit on occasion. At other times, the Fire Wyrm might slither along the ground very quickly to try and ram him with its head. When attacking, Pit can judge the Fire Wyrm's remaining health by the number of segments left on its body, with the head being the last.
