The Leox is a new enemy in Kid Icarus: Uprising. It appears to be partially mechanical in nature, and looks like a four-legged animal equiped with wheels. The creature's head seems to be made of gold, and it has two wing-like structures along its back.
Appearances
Kid Icarus: Uprising
"If you like lions and motorcycles, man, Leox is 100% the enemy for you. It charges forward, bringing its head down like a hammer. This bone-shattering blow also sends out shock waves that shake the air around it."
As racing enemies, Leoxes are primarily encountered in areas where Exo Tanks are used. They first appear riding around the race tracks in Pandora's Labyrinth of Deceit, those of which were crafted by the goddess of calamity herself. In rare cases, Leoxes may stand in one place and use their blade-like projectile attacks to strike Pit from afar.
Trivia
- The Leox might be loosely inspired by Leon, which was said to be a lion-headed Gigante (giant) that was killed by Heracles (Hercules in Roman mythology). Its physical appearance also looks to be based on both a lion and an ox.
